Rewards of mentoring

As a Big PAL, you can help develop a young person’s self-esteem and social skills. You have the potential to make a significant impact on the life of a youth in need.

Mentoring decreases destructive behaviors by encouraging our kids to develop positive social skills. In case after case, our staff see improvement several months after an adolescent begins a mentoring relationship with an adult. We consistently hear positive feedback from PALs, staff, and mentors alike on the impact of these relationships.
